Immanuel is old fashion Bible believing church where a friendly welcome awaits you!
Immanuel Baptist Church enjoys a long history of ministry in Clemmons, NC. We are known as a very friendly, old fashion church. We still sing the old hymns, and shout "amen!" We believe in the total sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures and that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that Jesus is the only Way to heaven and that the Gospel is for all who believe. We have a burden to reach souls for the glory of our Lord Jesus who died and arose for us.
Some of our Ministries and Activities
Immanuel Baptist Daycare_________________________
We have a wonderful daycare staffed by qualified and trained teachers and caregivers. We seek to minister to our church in bible stories, sing-a-longs, church activities as well as preparing them for their educational needs. Our daycare is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00. PM
__________________________Children’s Ministry
We offer opportunities to serve and ministry of service to children from the nursery age all the way up to 12 years of age. We have a great Sunday school program, the AWANA Children’s program, and Sunday children’s church ministry. Yearly we strive to involve the children in church cantatas and other special opportunities. Each Sunday morning we feature “Immanuel’s Little Voices”; a choir open to all children who come forward and sings before the congregation.
Word of Life Youth Ministry___________________
This ministry seeks to teach our teenagers on their level and provides them with their own place and experience. Young people are involved in ministry projects, community outreach and mission opportunities, as well as ministering before the church with music, skits and dramas.
_______________________Discipleship Program
We offer discipleship classes beginning with the very basic fundamentals of faith and moving into areas of discovering, understand and using one’s spiritual gifts. These studies can be one on one or small groups. We seek to provide a comfortable and convenient time to help you to grow in Christ.
Young at Heart_____________________________
We consider our senior saints as very special people and true assets to our church. Once a month we have a breakfast to encourage fellowship. Once a year we have a special “Silver Banquet” to honor our seniors.
______________________Men and Women Ministries
We have both Men and Women Bible studies and fellowship times. We encourage our members to meet for study, fellowship and growth. We plan special day trips, retreats, etc.
Deacons Care Ministry__________________________
Our deacons are taught to be servants of Christ to the Body of Christ, including our shut-ins. Our church families are divided up and assigned deacons who help provide watch care over them. They are ready during times of discouragement, health issues and even at death. Our deacons want to provide the love and support to our church family.
One other thing that we do which is unique to our church is to offer Biblical counseling free of charge to any one in need and ready for help. In this counseling, the Bible is our authority, rule and guide. The type of counseling is called "Nouthetic", which means to confront with the Word of God with the aim of giving hope and seeing change.
There are other things IBC does in the way of ministry which are not listed here. We have the conviction that “every member should be a minister.”
